BackPorch Bluegrass has done it again! Don't This Road Look Rough and Rocky...one of my favorites and Crying Holy has some soul-shaking harmony that I haven't heard in a long time. I look forward to hearing it again in person this year.

My wife and I were visiting from England and went to the State Fair in Raleigh. Seeing your set mentioned on the programme we made sure we were there. We may have had to wait for the nearby tobacco stringing competition to finish, but it was well worth the wait! Other than our daughter's 40th birthday, the highlight of our trip. On our next visit to her in N.C. we'll be sure to check if you have any gigs in the area.

I feel fortunate to have been able to meet "BackPorch Bluegrass" at the 2009 NC State fair in Raleigh,NC where they played several sets every day of the 11 day fair. I really felt honored to have been invited to play along with them several nights in their impromptu jam sessions(where they stayed)and to get to know them better than just the great musicians that they are up on stage. They're a personable bunch and I thoroughly enjoyed playing along and hopefully learning from them as they graciously shared their talent and wealth of knowledge. It mean't more than you'll ever know.

You guys just keep getting better and better. I never get tired of listening to David's amazing vocals, Rodney's superior fiddle style, Billy Ray tearing up the banjo, Randall's great bass breaks, Josh's skill on the mandolin and Kager's songwriting flair.

I am going to win the competition with Bob as your #1 FAN!

I can't wait to hear you guys again and remember, Carolina in the Fall is getting closer everyday - are you ready? I am!
